They did enclose two photos and a damage estimate in German (which we don't speak or read). They keep sending us form letters when we write to them. Even allowing for price differences in Europe, there's no way this should cost $2K. Our body guy says the damage should be between $500 and $700, maximum, at a competent body repair shop. Then, three months later, after the expiration of our 45-day CDW claim period, a claim arrives from Sixt for over $2000. It was minor damage it MIGHT have happened in a parking lot while we had the car, but it was barely visible in the dark garage without the flashlight the agent was using. When we returned the car, the rental agent went right to a specific place on the car where there was damage that wasn't on the existing damage report. They required us to sign a pre-filled out existing damage report. We rented the car in a pitch black garage. We just had the same thing happen with damages in Paris.
